We try to keep information on the website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all information will always be complete, accurate, current or free from errors.

10. Opinions and third-party material
The Longest Movie may contain or refer to opinions expressed by contributors and other third parties.
Those opinions belong to the people expressing them and do not necessarily represent the views of The Longest Movie, its operator, producers, staff, contractors, partners, distributors or exhibitors.
The inclusion of a contribution, quotation, link or reference does not mean that we endorse the person, organisation, opinion, product or service concerned.
11. Political content
The project may contain political opinions and discussion of politicians, governments, political parties, elections, public policy and other controversial subjects.
The inclusion of different political opinions is part of the editorial nature of the project and should not be taken as endorsement by us.
Unless we expressly state otherwise, The Longest Movie is not acting on behalf of any political party, candidate, government or campaign.
12. Third-party websites and services
The website may contain links to websites, platforms and services operated by third parties.
We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices or terms of use.
A link from our website does not necessarily mean that we endorse the third party or its content.
You should review the terms and privacy policies of third-party services before using them.
13. Website availability
We aim to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may suspend, restrict, change or withdraw all or part of the website where reasonably necessary, including for:
- maintenance;
- security;
- technical problems;
- legal or regulatory reasons;
- changes to the project; or
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
14. Security
Although we take reasonable steps to operate the website securely, no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for using appropriate security measures on your own devices and for maintaining your own backups of material that is important to you.
You must not knowingly introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material into the website or attempt to compromise its security.
15. Uploaded files
You should keep your own copy of any file that you upload to the website.
Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise, the website is not intended to operate as a permanent file-storage or backup service.
We do not guarantee that an uploaded original will remain available for you to retrieve indefinitely.
16. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Notice.
Where a Contribution contains information revealing political opinions or other specially protected personal information, additional data-protection requirements may apply.
Where necessary, we will obtain any separate consent required by law.
17. Cookies
The website may use cookies and similar technologies.
Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies or similar technologies on your device.
Further information about cookies used by the website will be provided through our cookie information or privacy notice.
18. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
In particular, nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to those restrictions, we are not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from:
- your inability to access the website temporarily;
- your reliance on general information on the website instead of obtaining appropriate professional advice;
- the acts or omissions of an independent third-party website or service;
- unauthorised actions by third parties outside our reasonable control;
- loss of data where you failed to retain your own reasonable backup; or
- events outside our reasonable control.
If you use the website for commercial or business purposes, we will not, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of goodwill arising from your use of the website.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any statutory rights that you have and which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
19. Your responsibility to us
You are responsible for your own unlawful use of the website.
Nothing in these Website Terms reduces or replaces any warranties, responsibilities or indemnities that you separately agree to under the Contributor Terms and Conditions when submitting a Contribution.
20. Suspected misuse
We may take reasonable steps to protect the website, the project, our users and third parties from suspected unlawful or abusive activity.
This may include restricting access, blocking technical requests, preserving relevant records, removing material, investigating activity, seeking legal advice or reporting matters to an appropriate authority where we are legally entitled or required to do so.
21. Changes to the website
We may change the content, features, design, functionality or availability of the website as the project develops.
We do not undertake to maintain any particular feature indefinitely.
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The version number and effective date at the top of this page identify the version currently in force.
Changes will apply from the date stated in the revised terms and will not retrospectively alter a separate Contributor Agreement that has already been entered into.
23. No waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms and Conditions, that does not prevent us from enforcing it later.
24. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
Where legally possible, an invalid provision should be interpreted or reduced so that it is valid and enforceable while preserving its intended effect as closely as possible.
25. Third-party rights
Unless these Terms and Conditions expressly state otherwise, a person who is not a party to them has no right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
26. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions and any non-contractual dispute or claim arising from or connected with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
27. Jurisdiction
Subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction in relation to disputes arising from or connected with these Terms and Conditions.
If you are a consumer living outside England and Wales, you may also have rights to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction which these terms cannot lawfully remove.
